During and After the Blizzard

Isn't he cute all bundled up?
Can you see Obadiah? Me either!
This was taken from the front porch as they headed out for a walk.

Note the snow total and the rose bush as compared to a couple of days ago.

Back for a snack - note the birdbath!
Everyone shares : )

New total - 1 foot, 10 inches.
You can barely see the rose bush top.

Birdbath is almost covered.
The drifts are amazing - some half way up the fence.
I've never seen this much snow!
This was the first time we've shoveled snow in the attic, too!
What a storm.

Before the Blizzard

BRRRR!!

All our little friends were chowing down as the storm was approaching on Christmas Eve.
I love our backyard!

Christmas Eve in Lincoln

We have ice covering everything! It is so beautiful!!

Morning at Squaw Creek

Isn't he beautiful??

These are muskrat mounds on a frozen lake. There were hundreds of them!
It was such a hazy day, but the shimmery reflection of the sun was stunning.

Absolutely regal!

Kris, Deb and I had a great time Tuesday morning. We didn't see the vast numbers of eagles and swans we were told about, but we still captured some great shots!

Icy December Morning

These were my favorites from the morning.
Kris says it was actually 7 below this morning when we went out!
Brrrrrr!

Birds on Frozen Thisttle

This was a bonus today. Kris and I went snowshoeing this morning.
Yes - I know it's a shock.... it was about 2 degrees!
On the way home, I had a little trouble on the street and had to take a side route home and caught these little guys having breakfast.
More from our hike to come!

These first 2 were taken Sunday as the snow began.

Then, Monday morning, grabbed my camera for more!
This is looking out our back door!
What a sight!

Using this for my Christmas cards!

Yes - that's 10 inches of snow.....and more to come!
Obadiah LOVES the sonw!

Please!! Let me back in!
